Jess launched Local Littles during her 2024 maternity leave, driven by the simple—but powerful—desire to find high-quality, meaningful pajamas for her newborn son, Otto. What started as a hunt for cozy, hometown-inspired sleepwear quickly became a full-fledged passion project.
With a background in marketing & videography, Jess combines her love of storytelling with a deep appreciation for Midwestern heritage. She oversees the vision, voice, and overall vibe of the brand—always with Otto (the original pajama tester) by her side.

Co-Founder | Illustrator | Minnesota Mama
Aasta is the artistic soul behind Local Littles’ signature look. A former tattoo artist from a small Minnesota town, she brings an edge of authenticity and handmade charm to every design. Her hand-drawn illustrations celebrate the landscapes, landmarks, and lovable quirks of Midwestern living—turned into wearable pieces of art for little ones.
Her unique creative lens and small-batch artistry help transform each pajama into something more than clothing—it’s a keepsake.
